Daniel Espinosa
Director

Swedish national Daniel Espinosa is one of the few Scandinavian directors who has taken on big, boisterous genre pieces – and gotten away with it. His breakthrough feature 'Snabba Cash' ('Easy Money', 2010) made him a household name internationally, and he has shown his ability to tap into international markets ever since.
Daniel Espinosa graduated as director from the National Film School of Denmark in 2003 with his film 'The Fighter'. He had his breakthrough with the Swedish film 'Snabba Cash' ('Easy Money', 2010), which became the Swedish film with most admissions that year and was widely acclaimed.
As a director, Espinosa has proven an ability to traverse many different genres and has managed to enter both the Nordic and the international market. Espinosa has directed both Swedish, Danish and foreign films such as 'Babylon Disease' (2004), 'Outside Love' (2007), 'Safe House' (2012), 'Child 44' (2015), 'Life' (2017), 'Morbius' (2022) and most recently 'Madame Luna' (2024). He has also recently directed the Netflix series 'The Helicopter Heist' (2024), which have been very well received.
