Bobby Boermans

Bobby Boermans is a Dutch director and producer of films, television series, music videos and commercials. He studied at the Dutch Film and Television Academy and earned his master's degree at the prestigious American Film Institute Conservatory in Los Angeles. For several years, he worked as a first AD in Hollywood and studied there under the supervision of David Fincher, George Lucas and Christopher Nolan.

Boermans directed the successful, critically acclaimed and high-end crime TV-series 'Het Gouden Uur '(2022) about the first 48 hours after a terrorist attack, 'Hoogvliegers'(2020) for which he collaborated with the Royal Dutch Air Force and 'Mocro Maffia' (2018-2023), a crime series about rivaling drugs gangs in Amsterdam which has been picked up for multiple seasons and won the Dutch Academy Award for Best Drama-series twice.
His most recent film 'iHostage' (2025) became Netflix's most-watched non-English film worldwide shortly after its release, topping charts in 31 countries. He is the co-founder of production company 2CFILM, together with Robin Levita, Kees Abrahams (former Sony Pictures Television President) and producer Edvard van ‘t Wout.
